Remember in 2002-2003, when Kobe Bryant scored 9 straight 40+ Points?

It was also this season when the championship run ended

Kobe Bryant quotes after scoring 41 points against the Seattle Supersonics on 2003:

"I've been holding back because of the team and because we have a pecking order here."

If only Bryant had a team to start with like Jordan, his stats would simply be off the charts

The reason that scoring streak started was because Shaq was injured and Kobe had to pick up the slack. That was the year Shaq started to break down. He hasn't played a full season since, and when he was healthy that year he wasn't as effective because he was overweight. This is the point at which a self-aware and responsible teammate might have gotten back into shape and ceded some of the scoring role to the ascendant player. Shaq's ego wouldn't allow this to happen until... he showed up in Miami! He got off the plane at Miami 30 pounds lighter and with a willingness to cede the leadership role to Wade. That is why the Heat was able to win a title. Shaq's advancing age was beginning to necessitate a change in the pecking order and Shaq couldn't accept that. Had he been able to, the Lakers would have won that title and contended for more.

Kobe was a spoiled brat from Pennsylvania's well-to-do Main Line when he entered the NBA and hasn't completely grown up. That's what happens when extraordinarily talented children aren't taught that their talent doesn't give them special entitlements.

Kobe's Lakers were just as good if not better than Jordan's Bulls. After all, the Bulls and Pippen didn't win titles without Jordan but Shaq has won without Kobe. Therefore, I'd say that the comment about Kobe having better stats if he had played with a team like Jordan's is absurd.

Kobe's problem is his game is all about Kobe. He should be more worried about the name on the front of his uniform instead of the one on his back. How many rings has he won since Shaq left? He wants a legacy of being a great player, which he is, but he is also leaving a legacy of an arrogant ball hog. He wants to be compared to Jordan. Yes, Jordan scored a lot of points, but I do remember the Bulls winning games with Paxson and Kerr hitting game winning shots. Jordan trusted his coach and teammates. Along with his talent, that's why he won six rings. I don't think Kobe would pass the ball for someone else to hit a game winning shot. He couldn't stand for someone else to take any glory from him.

First off a comment like shows what an egotistical jerk Kobe is and Miami thanks his attitude problem every day!

Because of Kobe's drama...Shaq came to Miami...fostered a family like relationship with his entire team and won an NBA Championship without EGO JERK KOBE!

Kobe can keep scoring 50 points a game while the rest of his teammates are in single digits...why because "That is the new pecking order there" LOL

Thank you Kobe~ LETS GO HEAT!!!!!!!

sounds like a theory from somebody of Buddhist mysticism or some eastern appropriate philosophical device. The you maximum probable correlated to the ego, the "I" that we parade around in our each and on a daily basis lives. yet our real selves, what's left after the ego has dissolved, exists in a sort of infinity. it particularly is a alluring theory, it speaks to the grandeur of existence, the indoors-connectedness of all issues. you're here, yet you're additionally everywhere at as quickly as.
