I'll give a couple of examples:

1: One question I answered was from a guy who was being totally racist towards black people. I told him he was a scumbag & the next thing I know I get a violatoin notice! Why not him? He's the one spreading his filthy ideas on the internet, not me. Can I not comment on that?

2: It seems any criticism of that Despot Bush brings violation notices in its tow. I've had two such violation notices for stating what I thought of this lunatic. Are we not allowed to criticise this White Devil now?

So, the crux of the question is...Is Yahoo Answers a free forum for Fascists & Racists given that anyone that tries to ciritcise these ideas gets violation notices?

Try to keep your answers polite...YOU may get a violation notice too!

¡Que molleja!'s:

Thanks for your response, but I am a bit unsure what you mean about some of my language being abusive.
:(

I can't see any swear words in my post.
:(

I have a right to voice my opinion when I see racists on here, and incidentally I did report that guy, but I still got a violation notice!
:(

If I get a violation notice I just want to get a decent reason why.

Do they REALLY?!!! I think they have a code of cunduct to follow and if broken and reported to them, then they will check and if proven they will act accordingly.

I agree that some time, some individuals within the yahoo team are over-reacting or do not react when they should. But that is more of individual behaviour than a yahoo policy. Yahoo has a mechanisim to report such disagreement of treatment.

NB. I am not member of yahoo team, I just try to understand the rationality of both sides.

All the best!/

The Yahoo! Answers team removes postings that have been reported (after checking whether there was, indeed, a violation of the community guidelines, or of the terms of service). Yahoo! doesn't normally proactively look for abuse, so if an objectionable question or answer is not reported, it will remain there, and continue to offend decent people. If you think people are being racist, then you should report them. If you respond with offensive language (and this current posting of yours contains language that would be considered abusive), then you are setting yourself up to be reported again. Several violations could result in your account being closed.
