Heck yes. When I was 16 I used to drive a 1971 Olds Delta 88 that had the dimmer on the floor. I wonder why they don't do that anymore?

They were more efficient and practical....
Nowadays when your dimmer switch goes ..you need to get into the steering column...take off the steering wheel....etc. etc. abut two hours of labour and a part replacement that usually also controls your signal lights...sometimes window wipers..and by times your cruise control..
What used to be a 3.00 dollar part and five minutes of work...is now a $100.00 part...and a similar labour bill to match !!!
Isn't modern technology great !!!....

I do. Sometimes you missed it. I like it the way it is now. I also remember when cars didn't have a signal light and you had to roll down the window, put your arm out the window. When your arm was straight out, you turned left. When you bent your elbow and with your arm and hand straight up, you made a left turn. When you had your arm out and fore arm strait down, that meant you were slowing down or stopping.
