I think it will come from the National League and that team will be the Philadelphia Phillies.

I dont think there will be another "Detroit Tigers of 06" b/c that was in incredible run by a team who no one had expectations for. The Milwaukee Brewers have a chance to do some damage, and a team i feel is being left off the radar that i believe could win the NL is the Philadelphia Phillies but i dont think they are in the same situation as the Tigers of last season. The only team i can look at and say that i honestly feel has a DECENT shot at making noises in the NL is the Colorado Rockies, no one expects much from them but i wouldnt overlook them, they have a dangerous lineup but just dont have the arms that the Tigers had/have.

Now that Detroit is a contender there realy isn't another team that will make that kind of impact this year. Detroit added more depth to an allready killer pitching rotation. Also adding Gary Sheffield will help the rest of the team learn to be more patient at the plate. As far as the Cubs, Brewers, and Phillies are concerned, I think the Phillies might pull a fast one on us and get some October playing time.

I really like what I see out in LA. I am not a National league or Dodgers fan, but I have to say, The Dodgers look like they are primed for a nice run. They have a good Starting rotation with Schmidt, Lowe, Penny, Wolf, and Tomko ; their pen is not too shabby either with Broxton (76IP, 97 k, 2.59 ERA, 1.23 WHIP) and Saito(78IP, 107 K, 2.07 ERA, 0.91 WHIP) being "Lights Out", this will shorten games to 7 innings; Defensively they look solid also, which leaves their one weakness I can see as being run production. But even if they can avg 3 - 3 1/2 runs per game, I think their strengths will be enough to win 90+ games this season.

None because in 2003 the Tigers were the worst team in baseball history, thus the complete shock of 2006.

Call me crazy but I have a funny feeling that the Milwaukee Brewers may make a run this season (FYI I'm a Cubs not a Brewers fan)
