ya never know but unless there is other reason to belive someone broke into the house like shoe prints on the window sill or something then it was most likely the fact that you disconnected it then reconnected it, resetting often fixes the problem or maybe you had your laptop to close to some serious speakers that could have caused the screen to become distorted. asking is the best way to learn so keep asking untill you know everything you need to

may be your computer over heat and it reboot. and after 15 minute the temperature was down and it can run again. it saw bios information because the system had an error before.

It may be because there is a loose connection inside of the computer somewhere that popped back where is should be, but if this is the case it is likely do stop working again.

Sometimes electronic devices need to be "reset" by being unplugged, and left alone for awhile. This allows for any static to dissipate, etc. I've done it on a few occasions with televisions, and gaming consoles, and they were fine. Hope this helps.

Your computer more than likely has an INTERMITTENT hardware or electrical problem. Sometimes even a vibration will temporally "fix" the problem.

I've had problems with people breaking into my house and repairing random electronic devices and appliances, so I think it's very possible that that's what happened to you.
