35% was largest percentage..was +/-$20...highest $ tip ever was $45 a bit over a 20% tip...left an abrasive waiter at the Hilton showroom a nickle tip on a $110 check...he kept coming by and mentioning that he'd be back when we'd left a tip.. every time he came back the tip grew that much smaller..was once told the biggest insult was the 5 cent tip..a penny might be a mistake as could no tip...but 5 cents is a deliberate slap in the face...only left 5 cents one other time!

As suggested in the previous, servers purely make about 2-3 funds an hour. regrettably, taxes are then deducted from that salary. So we infrequently get a paycheck or more effective than 3-5 funds. If eating places were to pay the servers minimum salary, the fee of foodstuff could be outrageous. So at the same time as a table makes a decision no longer to tip you, you lose funds on that table. You pay taxes and performance to pay the eating position back for each table so in turn you paid to serve them. it truly is why.

I don't believe in giving tip.
Why should pay anything extra, we already pay for what we eat and they includes service tax also in the bill, then there is no point to give any extra amount. The waiters/ waitress are getting there salaries.

I was a food critic and they told me to leave at least a ten dollar tip, sometimes for the really big meals I would leave $20. . .but it didn't matter because the newspaper reimbursed me.
