I have a 93 mitsubishi Eclipse 5 speed and I was driving down the Road and everything was fine untill my guage went down to zero and shut down then it showed my oil light and battery light we'll I had someone check it and it is ok so I have not a clue what is wrong with it My guess would be a fuse but I am not bright when it come to mechanical work - it will turn over but will not start - funny thing is I was driving it 2 hours prior and it was fine or so I thought - Can anyone give me suggestions!

If it's turning over, that means you have electric, sounds more like the fuel filter is clogged.

Engine cranks but will not start - fuel problem or ignition problem. If it has an engine management computer (should have) the problem could be there. It is not unknown with these vehicles and they can be expensive to replace.

It might be worth locating the computer and cleaning the connections to it. If that works, you're laughing, if it doesn't, too bad.

I had the same thing happen. It turned out my Main Computer was bad and my Fuel Pump was bad.


I replaced both and it works fine.


However, I have a 92 Suzuki Sidekick.

Timing belt broke?
Fuel pump quit?
Or ignition system malfunction?

You'll need some hands-on troubleshooting with this one.

Could be a fuel filter,most likely is.You never did say what gauge went to zero.If gas,....duh!!! Maybe more info could help.

The best suggestion you can get is... "Get the car towed to a shop!" They can fix it.

that is always a problem with those things.we have always had american autos and never any problems.we are happy !!!!
