Job from hell. How does one get fired (be sure they can collect unemployment for a short while as you search) ? Alternatively, does anyone have any creative suggestions as to how one can get their boss fired ?

You would have to define exactly "job from hell" and you need to be able to document it.

Tough one. If you get fired, your former employer can protest your claim for unemployment. Then it gets nasty,
Getting him fired? Other than hiring a Mafia hitman, I really don't know. Be careful, if you try to f*^%$# with him, it might come back to bite you.
All I can say is, get going with your job hunt. Brush up your resume, and don';t waste time.
By the way, I have always found that what comes around goes around, and you heard the thing about paybacks. I had more than one former idiot boss suddenly find himself on the recieving end.
Hang in there.

If you are fired you may qualify, although your employer may try to have unemployment benefits denied on the basis that you were fired for cause. Beyond that, it's most likely to affect your application for your next job.
As far as getting you boss fired, you really would have to have some real dirt on them. I don't see that happening.

There should be no unemployment for someone getting fired, especially if he deserves to get fired.

Yes. Go to work and try to have a small argument with the boss. Then afterwords, go clock out and go file for unemployment. In the area that says why you quit, put. Was physically threatened by supervisor, felt unsafe at work. They cant make you work where you feel your life is in danger.

Do badly at whatever is not defined well in policy.
