The Russian information may be correct. The exact timing of an attack on Iran is highly speculative and supposedly secret. If Russian intel announced it, then there is no secret.

Attack Date of 6th of April 4am.
If an attack occurred on the 5th of April it wouldn't it be more of a secret? Or the first of April. It would be quite a joke to think that the attack is a joke and not a real attack. The time of 4am that is widely reported is a good enough time, just before fajr the dawn prayer.

Iran's calendar
Iran doesn't use the same calendar as the West and Muslims do not celebrate Good Friday.

06/04/07 = 17/01/13/1386
So the 6th of April in Iran would be Farvardin فروردین. Farvardin started on the 20th of March. So, that would mean the attack would be on the 17th of Farvardin. 17/01/13/1386 by the Iranian calendar.

06/04/07 = 18/03/1428
On the Muslim calendar it would be 18 Raby` al-awal 1428 A.H. or 18/03/1428

Iran seems to dispute just about everything. Iran always claims to be right and every other country is wrong....

Military confrontation may be on the horizon.

In addition to the British naval vessels at the Diego Garcia atoll in the Indian ocean, there is a multi-national force in the Persian Gulf. The British HMS Cornwall aircraft carrier strike group, the American aircraft carrier strike group Bremerton-based aircraft carrier CVN-74 John C. Stennis, the American aircraft carrier strike group USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and the French nuclear carrier Charles de Gaulle and its task force are all in close appoximation in the Persian Gulf. The USS Nimitz may also be in the Persian Gulf as it was scheduled for its WESTPAC07 deployment to replace the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower.

If commonsense had a part to play in your statement, then it it would be April the 1st. Then maybe, if we had a decent leader, they would become the fools they really are messing with a proven nuclear power!. In reality the Russians do not get insulted by anyone, because of their loose cannon reputation. The U.K. on the other hand have so many wimps in control they are afraid to do anything without EU approval, but the terrorists know all about that.

Unlikely, Iran has the support of China and Russia. Attacking Iran would not be a good idea.
