I absolutely loved 300, and I am a very well versed reader. I have "consumed" almost all the great classics from Rand to Steinbeck to Dante, Homer, and Shakespeare. Not to mention countless examples of popular literature and of course a few novels of my own choosing.

It wasn't like the movie was meant to be a historical documentary. It was made and marketed as ENTERTAINMENT. Not to mention it was a remake of a 1962 movie, The 300 Spartans. If nothing else, I would think someone who has read 276 books could at least appreciate other people's tastes in film and literature.

After all, I think the movie was meant to stress a particular moral and sense of duty that seems to be fading as more centuries pass. And if you missed that maybe you should pick up a few more books.

What does reading 276 books have to do with 300? I read more than that in college, sweetheart. It has nothing to do with enjoying a movie. Are you implying somehow that you are this amazing intellectual because you happened to read?

See, some people have to make themselves feel better by pretending to elevate themselves above others with false intellectualism. Unfortunately, they fail to realize that true intellectuals don't really waste their time belittling the entertainment choices of other people.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks that.

I loathe modern Hollywood with a passion!
