The fine hats that were made from beaver fur were not like coonskin caps, but were made by felting the fur and pressing it into shape. The hats were roughly the shape of top hats, but bigger. If you have seen the Alice in Wonderland original pictures, the Mad Hatter's hat is a beaver and he went mad because of the mercury used in curing the stuff.

Yikes! Did you know that a beaver can knock down a full grown man with his tail, and will keep whipping on him until the beaver no longer feels threatened?
Why don't you try a fake fur cap?
(Davy Crockett wore a cap made of "coon" raccoon.)

they might desire to pores and skin and kill the beaver. If the beaver exchange into shaved there could purely be a pile of beaver hairs with no longer something to hold them mutually. What holds them mutually is the floor.
