And you had to go back into the shop but for some reason felt embarrassed to? or do you just go right back in there and tell them they cannot count to save their life lol.... well more like they have given you the wrong change?

I got short changed once. I bought a pack of cigs. and gave the man a five and the change to cover it and he didn't give me anything back. As I was paying him, he started showing me the figures on how much money their cig. shipment cost that day and I just wasn't paying attention that he didn't give my change back. When I realized it heck yeah I went back in cause that's all the money I had to my name till I got paid the next day. He tried to tell me I gave him correct change though and wouldn't count his till so I just made a big scene in front of the other customers and cussed him out. Now I wouldn't go back to that store if they were giving stuff away. I make sure to let everyone know what a crook he is too.

I usually catch it before they give me back my change and correct them before it happens. It kind of makes you wonder how they got the job in the first place if the can't count change back to you!!

Yes, it happened to be this passed Thanksgiving (06) I was so mad I went back in there and the fat ***** of a cashier refused to give me my money back. I stormed out and have yet to return.
I wouldn't have gone back in there if it was say a dollar or less but it was $7.

They probably have but i've been in to much of a hurry to notice. One time i was given too much back and i went back in to give the correct amount back. Other ppl would have said keep it, its their fault. But i work in Customer Service so i know how it can be.

I`d go right back in & ask for MY money. It may be a genuine mistake, but some shop assistants do this to top up their wages, which I view as theft.

It depends how much they have short changed me and whether or not I want to take the time to fool with it. If its more than a dollar I'm gonna get my dollar if I have to take it out of your fannie! lol
