i have Acer aspire 3000 laptop. XP sp2. built in wifi card. was able to connect to college wifi and public library wifi. went on vacation and can't access the internet on either signal now. while others can. can still surf net on uncle's wifi.

I you "view wireless networks" do you see them?
You should be able to view them from the small wireless computer connector in the lower right of your screen, just right click and then view them.
If you dont show that then click on control panel, networks, show all connections and click the wireless one.
It somehow the "stack" has been damaged manually connecting to them should repair the issue.
If you can't even see them you need to delete the wireless adapter and let it re-instal. (under system, hardware)
