Is there a troll giving "Looking for the truth..." thumbs down on all of his answers? I've noticed that no matter what he says, lately, he's been getting a lot of thumbs down. Sometimes answers may warrant it, but I think this is foul play...

Yes there is. I don't want to mention any names, but yes. There is some guy that didn't like one of my answers. I said I was 100% wrong and gave me a thumbs down. I emailed the guy and asked him what I was wrong about and he turned out to be some kid. He said I was insulting to the Japanese. Now he "thumbs down" all my answers.

Look at that, I already got one within 5 seconds of leaving the answer.

Am I?

Many thanks for your support YUKA.

♡Unfortunately it happens to most of us every now and then Yuka. I think people may dislike or disagree with an answer we give and then show it by continuously 'thumbs downing' us for awhile. It happened to me around the end of last year. I basically answer because I hope it helps people who have many of the same Q.s I had about Japan when I first started coming here over 15 years ago.(^_-)-☆
~~☆BUT! The good thing is that most people can see a helpful, informative, good answer when they read it and simply disregard the unwarranted 'thumbs down'. \(^∇^)/
I hope this doesn't stop all the good people here from answering.
Ganbatte everyone!♡^_^♡

It happened to me about a month ago, too. I don't really know who did it, but every answer I gave during that time received a thumbs down. It's unfortunate that people do that, because the thumbs up/down system CAN be helpful (especially in the Languages category). I think the "top ten" and "top contributor" status markers do make certain people susceptable to this.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing - I've seen the same with me in the past as well as with Adam on answers that should not have been so controversial to be given a thumb's down.

I think there are a few immature people running around here with petty vendettas in their warped heads as "looking for truth" states - and gets 3 thumbs down in the process.

Yuka,

"Thumbs" are very subjective in nature...neither you nor anyone else should give them much thought.
