You can deal through any publisher you wish, keeping in mind that to publish through some, such as Marvel or D.C., they own it once they publish it. Image is the biggest of the Independants, but they still have a board that approves putting the image logo on any projects. the best thing you can do is send a sample (no more than 6 or so pages) of the finished work, with a one page synopsis of the entire graphic piece. They should mail you back within a couple of weeks or so to let you know if they're interested, but no matter what, keep trying!
Good Luck!

best way to get a novel published is too start by writing short stories and getting those published which is fairly easy, there is countless magazines ect ect. to get them in.. eventually if your good enough and with a little luck a company will ask you to write a novel.... this is just one way but every biography I've read of authors that have made it says this is the easiest way, because to make it as an author is extremely hard, like actor ect ect... I also would like to write novels... fantasy fiction...

You start by searching YA for the question "How do I publish?" because this has been asked and answered about one million and twelve times now (and yes, folks, I am STILL counting!)

You submit your recommendations to them. conserving in concepts "like Batman, um fights the riddler and stuff" is in all probability no longer he format they're searching for. large comics have diverse authors and a even a heritage of hiring followers to artwork on them.
