That obviously describes maximum politicians operating for place of work lol! i does no longer describe the yank those that way even with the reality that, insular can be a extra valuable description yet on the total, patriotic and free-spriited.

No, what is this with anti-american questions, this is the second one i have read this morning, check out my answer to "why do the british laugh at americans.
There is enough international hate in the world already without bringing here.
As i said in my answer to the question I mentioned above, if I dislike someone it is based on the individual, not on their race or nationality.
Aplogies to the asker, no offence meant. Reckon I was on my high horse after the last question.

Never really thought about it, but these days I am turned off by the English. For all the complaints about Americans, I really feel I can relate to most of them. They are not really how foreigners think they are. For the most part, they are friendly, straightforward, assertive, funny, accepting and a lot of fun.

Yeah, They are our greatest allies, along with the Aussies.
That reminds me, did you see the movie, "Yanks?"
It really is a good movie, one of Richard Gere's best.

I love our cousins, the Brits. They can call me a "Yank" if they wish. I believe they have wonderful senses of humor, and we have a common bond when related to our history and culture.

John S ,
I hope you don't take a bath in septic tank,
They are for disposal of toilet waste.
Septic tank is rhyming slang for Yank .
It sort of means there full of ****.
In a nice way of course.

Not really. I'm from Tennessee and "yank" isn't something we appreciate being called. Now, if they called me a "wanker" or something stupid like that, that would be adorable!
