http://www.projectlinus.org/links.shtml#Patterns
The site above has many simple
patterns. You might follow the directions on one for one color,
following with the next color,
then the next in a beautiful array
of the primary colors. (you might save the green to go on the outside for a border.)
I hope this helps.

You could use an off white or cream for the back ground and make a clown or baloons. Or, make squars of each color and put the name of the colr in the squar with white or cream. I have a crayon pattern, if I can find it I will let you know. I am getting ready to go out of town and do not have alot of time, but I will try.

There are lots of nice patterns out there that use the colors you have on hand and young children love bright primary colors. Have you tried looking for free online afghan patterns at Crochet Pattern Central...
http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory.php
Or Martha's aka Star Gazers site...
http://home.inreach.com/marthac/afghan.html
You might find something you like at the Lion Brand Free Patterns site too...

And don't forget to check out FreePatterns.Com
Hope you find something you like...

My suggestion is to just crochet stripes. Vary the depth of the stripes for variety. Or do a striped ripple afghan. Both are simple, quick and look beautiful in primary colors.

Hi there, try making sqauares and sew them together. I'm also working on a pouch (http://grinmonzter.blogspot.com/2007/03/blogger-verse-windows-live-spaces.html) using similar method.
Good luck!
