I have been totally disgusted with men for years. I have had straight sex, but was completely disgusted with myself, and went back to dating women. Now, my first love has come back into my life and I feel straight. I am wondering, was I ever really a lesbian, or was I just disgusted with men because they weren't him?

My first love was a guy, and it was fourteen years ago, when I was only 10!

Perhaps you have always been bisexual, but didn't realize it. Bisexual does not mean 50/50, one can have a greated preferece for the other sex on the spectrum, but still find both sexes sexually attractive, but just find one more sexually attractive or greater preferecne than the other or one could have have a greater romantic attraction to one sex compared to the other. So, your orientation probably never changed, you just might be more attracted to women or more to men. Your attraction for men was always there it seems, just you just might be more attracted to women, and maybe your feelings were part of this as well.

You're probably just bisexual. I hear alot of definitions and requirements that people give homosexuality these days, but all those aside, I believe your orientation is based on how you can feel towards someone. If you can honestly fall in love and be happy with someone of your same sex, then you're gay. If you can fall in love with anyone, you're bisexual. Did you love these women you dated? If you never had true feelings for them then you're probably not gay. However you are, and whatever your orientation really is, call yourself what you want. That's your choice.

Your first love never leaves your heart.Something about him made him special back then and that something is still their.Back then he was your best friend. You could say he was the perfect girl at that time.I would say their is something feminine about him.If so your orientation has not changed. Are you still attracted to girls?

I think the real problem lies in trying to define yourself either way. Why does it always have to be either/or? Black or white, coke or pepsi, mac or pc, gay or straight. What about all the gray areas of life? there are many.
