With a population of 1 billion, they should be able to do very well at a number of sports. Cricket, hockey, badminton, squash and why not some of the big money spinner sports worldwide like basketball, volleyball, football. With such a huge human resource, India has the potential to be a sporting giant.

india was a strong team in hockey those days,i think they should concentrate on hockey now beside cricket.

India is one of the world's best in cricket... we would be as concerned about cricket as were in the past... however we should also strive hard for promotion of other sports...
