One year ago I went to the doctor because I had a serious thirst problem. I took a blood test and everything came back negative except my cholesterol was a little high. It was 206? This past month I still feel a discomfort in my jaw. It feels like pressure. It might be my wisdom teeth. I'm not sure.

Anyway, I've also been feeling this feeling in my chest. It feels like pressure and pain. When I feel very sad, I feel it even more. I haven't been able to sleep a normal schedule for over a month now. Sometimes I get 2 hours of sleep at night. Sometimes 3. Sometimes 5. I sleep during the day as well. Last night I came home after being verbally abused by my girlfreind. I took a really hot shower to relax. When I got into bed, my heart was beating extremely fast and wouldn't slow down for about 20 minutes. i can hear it beating in my head. What's wrong with me? Am I gonna get a heart attack at the age of 26? Or am I severely depressed? Or both?HELP

hi : ) worst combination when ure dont feel good is that all results are oki and doc send u home but u dont feel oki. u asking ureself whats wrong with me and it makes u nervous. doc thing ure bluffing and send u home. but usually they are right. i guess ure to sencitive or a bit unshure about ureself. maybe a bit depresed. so try to find things u like in ure life and go for it. when u try hard results will come and u will be happier and it will makes u bussy. dont think about hart and blood and think all the time about ure health condition. find maybe some relaxing yoga class or smth. hot water always increase hart beat. dont use it. dont let ur girl abuse u if u think u do all oki. take long walk maybe u will sleep better. listen music meanwhile u walk and look all that interesting ppl around u. that will keep ur mind bussy. u must insist and take time just for ureself.if u feel still same after few time ask doc for some light antidepresive it can help u to relax in a longer term.u will forget pattern of ur previous life. : ) take care and sry for my bad in english

The beating in your head is your blood pressure. You may also hear a sound almost like the ocean in your ears. That is also your blood pressure. The tightening in your chest is most likely a panic attack. Those can feel like a small heart attack or an asthma attack. If you are having panic attacks then you obviously have some sort of anxiety and that will mess up your sleep cycles too. As far as the discomfort in your jaw, do you find yourself clenching your teeth? Do you grind your teeth when you do sleep? I have found that melatonin helps me fall asleep. You can get it for around 10 dollars a bottle at GNC. I am also on a low dose of Celexa which helps with depression and anxiety. Working out in the early morning also helps me throughout the day!

seriously it can be a number of things... angina.... stress... or you could have arterostenosis ( narrowing of an artery due to plaque or other reasons.) the pressure in the jaw is a symptom of a heart attackl... maybe you could be suffering several small ones... it is BEST THAT YOU GET IT CHECKED OUT and some doctors you need to press and press and press and just be persistant. My sister had same symptoms.. I dont want to scare you but she went to a doc complaint=ing of chest pain.. they blew her off as if she was crazy or something.. she saw a 2nd doctor and requested to see a cardiologist... EKG, x ray comes back normal... so she kept being persistant and FINALY they did a CT scan and found that her decending aorta was 95% blocked AND the acending was 60% blocked...!! She as scheduled for surgery he next morning. Be careful sometimes tose tests dont always come back correct... be persistant.. you know your body.. You know when there is something just not right.. please go see a doctor... explain the symptoms You only have one heart... you dont want to mess around and wait and see what will happen... stress can induse a heart attack as well.... I wish you the best of luck.

Please tell your doctor what you've just told us. It sounds like a little of both, anxiety and depression. Your way too young to be feeling like an old man.
Try not to stress out too much before you go to the doctor, it may not be anything too serious but I suspect it may be that you have high blood pressure. Easily controllable with medication and I would also suggest you kick the abusive girlfriend to the curb. Get rid of the girl...and your symptoms will be gone!
I bet you've been grinding your teeth and that's why they hurt.
Best Wishes!

It can happen you are never to young to have a heart attack. You have high cholesterol and that puts you at risk. You need to go and get a full physical and so do i because i experience the same thing and i know it has alot to do with stress. Take vitamins for now and avoid stressful situations. Drink plenty water and get your cholesterol down. if your girlfriend is causing you stress get rid of her or life will get rid of you. I hope it is something minor like gas. GOOD LUCK!
