It would be difficult but yes. Only if I knew 100% that it was the only way.

We would have to first assume the others would die if the one child did not which your question does not clearly state.
Also would I actually be doing the killing or does the one child die on his/her own without help from me.
Did any of you ever watch Ultraviolet? The one death would be assumed to save the masses but in truth was going to be used against the masses. The question of course would be how do you know the many would be saved because of the one.
I imagine you are also asking this because of the Hitler, Beethoven, etc... philosophical question pertaining to abortion.
One of the big questions is why is the woman the only person allowed to choose if the baby lives (in other words why are their not paternal rights as well)?
Also why is a woman is allowed to kill her baby but if someone is convicted of assaulting a pregnant woman and the fetus dies the convicted assaulter gets convicted of murder?
For those who believe in Christianity, God had his son killed to save the masses.

I would kill an innocent child just to kill someone and get away with it. Human life has no intrinsic value be it innocent or corrupt.

No.
I'd be too concerned that the '1' I killed could have been the next Thomas Edison, when all the others could have been the next Timothy McVeigh.

I had to do it in the Vietnam war. Just because they MIGHT have a bomb strapped under their clothes. Just to save a couple of my buddies. so Yes I would if it would save MORE lives.
