Well if you are typically a morning person, and recently have had difficulty sleeping, it's probably stress or anxiety. Try talking to your doctor, or make sure you do a relaxing activity every night like reading. I'm actually battling the opposite. I'm a total night owl wanting to switch to morning person! Good luck!

I'm the same way right now... I think its because of a relationship break up. Honestly, I don't know what to do either except read or try exercising in the morning. Nothing is really working for me, I have class in the morning and its almost 3am... good luck

No one will probably ever read this because it's going on page 2, but I'll give it a shot anyway.
Hershey's makes a product called Goodnight Hugs White Chocolate Hot Cocoa Mix. It is 99.9% caffeine free. And it beats the heck out of warm milk.

Do not eat before you go to bed.
Do not drink coffee, tea, or any soda.
If that does not work, take two Tylenol.
I have heard that warm milk helps, but yech to that!
So, if I know all that why am I awake at this hour?
Because I drank iced tea all day and right up until bedtime.
Betcha I don't forget tomorrow night!

Warm milk then watch tv, read a magazine or book, balance your checkbook. Listening to background music or anything on the radio helps too. Any noise helps me to sleep. Maybe because a very silent surrounding makes my mind wander and think. Good luck!

I have sorta "battled" with insomnia my whole life, I feel for you because it really sucks...there are a few things that might help...don't eat or drink ANYTHING with caffeine in it (coffee, cola, chocolate) after 4pm, have a hot bath, read or basically do anything that relaxes you before bedtime...I have also read that it is better to have your room a little cooler and that this helps you get to sleep and sleep better...don't hesitate to check with a Dr. if you still can't sleep, because it's really hard to function with little or no sleep...I hope that this helps and that you get lots of zzzzzzzzz's

Find something to do during the day so you can stay awake. You have to make yourself stay awake so you can sleep at night. Also try drinking a glass of wine before you lay down. Wine is very relaxing. Just one glass!!!

I have had a sleep disorder for many years and my schedule was so messed up that I had no choice but to seek medical help and resort to taking sleeping pills, which I hate, but a girls gotta eat.
