Guys can feel uncomfortable when talking about emotions, but ultimately guys need to know they are loved, cared for or appreciated. It is really down to the individual and the context in which it is said as to what sort of a reaction you'll get.

This is one of those "It Depends" answers. A guy will typically let you know when they are into you. If he does not, the answer to your question is a big 'NO'. If he is into you, then it's exactly what they want to hear.
