Great question. Unfortunately, there's a cultural resistance to all police officers. When I was a kid, being raised by my grandparents, I was taught to respect police officers- all of them. Because I was raised by my grandparents, I can clearly see the societal chasm in the generation gap. It's all in how the kids are raised. So I guess your only real chance to reach them is in the elementary schools. Get their respect early. I think that kindergarten through about the fourth grade is the best time to teach children things like respect, patriotism, team work, anything that requires heart.

i dont know, but maybe it's because a lot of try to act too hard. it's like they are trying to prove that they are equal, but end up just being over and beyond.
