Spilled curry on my beige acrylic carpet. Scooped it up, but turmeric has stained badly. Any ideas to remove the stain?

you could try with white wine , white wine removes red wine stain´s , I have removed many stains by doing this , then once your happy the stain is out use some off your own hair shampoo , wash with a sponge and tepid water ,rinse well then lay a towel over the wet patch with a heavy object on top . This will help soak up any remaining water from the underside of your carpet , dry with natural air . You will find this patch of carpet will most likely need another wash at a later date . As sooner or later the water mark always reaches the surface

In your local chemist or boots store you should be able to by Stain Devils you can pick from a variety of stain types, i tried the curry one on my lilac carpet it worked brilliantly, you cant see where the stain was and they dont cost too much either about £2.

Lemon juice is a domestic life-saver in the never-ending fight for cleanliness, and it's been popular as a stain remover for centuries. Try using lemon juice to remove rust and stains from plastic, either neat or diluted, and give curry stains on carpet the heave-ho with diluted lemon juice.
