You must have been to the doctor. What did he say? If it is painless might have been the beginning of a period. If painful query a UTI. Otherwise needs investigation.

Could be a simple urinary infection, her bladder's delicate lining has been eroded and the acid in the urine causes a small amount of blood to be released.
A course of antibiotics should sort it, but as previous respondants have said, cranberry juice is an excellent natural remedy.
I drink it a lot, especially if I feel a bout of cystitis coming on.

Did you not ask the doctor when he/she gave you and your daughter the urine results?

A variety of causes cause blood to appear in urine, too many to list on here. Go with what your doctor said, and if he/she didn't say anything about it, go back and ask for it to be explained. Only your doc can say as they have your daughters medical history and recent symptoms.
