Basically why teacher needs answer book is because answer book helps teacher to give a guidelines for students especially in learning process. Also, teacher needs answer book is to share answer for students during the discussion because some teacher can't be able to answer or some teacher may give a false answer to student . Without answer book, how can teacher get the correct answer or teach many students?

Basically not all teachers are confident in their answers.I'm not mocking them or anything, but some are not too bright and require the aid of a text book simply because they forgot some of it and/or don't understand it themselves. This is quite understandable as we all forget things from time to time.
Although some teachers I know who are quite confident still use an answer books to make sure that the answer they give you is the best possible answer you can receive.

time management...teachers can do the work and arrive at the answers but for time management they can use the answer books...also some teachers have parent volunteers who grade papers and the parents need the answer books...and some teachers have student teachers or preprofessional students from the university and they need answer books...some teachers have family members who can help grade papers with the answer books.

Well, I teach math, and I like mine because I can instantly look at the solution to a problem and see if it comes out "nice" so that I can use it for a test, homework, etc. Without having to work every single problem out ahead of time.

For english maybe bcause there r many answers. Like those cloze passages where there are no helping words. What a bother.

Hey they aren't god...even they, they don't know some answers...maybe they forget, for some its years back things or completely new ones!....Or if they are not sure they just check it out!...no harm, pupils advantage; they are getting right answers!...It depends on the situation!
