I guess I do more of a tap than a stroke. I type so fast that I never really noticed what I actually do.

I cannot input a key without taping it? So of course everyone taps them unless they have like a sensor keyboard.
To mean stoke means not to press inwards. A tap in like pressing. So I guess what you mean by stoking I would call RFT "Rapid Fast Taping".
