it is possible but the chance are rare. Because once the body has burned, some of the skin structure are completely destroyed and leave a scar on the area. The person can recover but rarely can get 100 percent recovery.

Maybe with an astoundingly good (and expensive) plastic surgeon as well as some cutting edge medicine.
Even 60% first degree burns would be a lot for the body to deal with. Most likely there are some third degree burns involved (assuming that 60% is just the third degree burns). To have so much of the body exposed to air, even in The best hospital, leaves a lot of area open to infection. The greatest concern is simply avoiding and treating infection (which can be deadly with so much exposure).
A good plastic surgeon will be able to keep the scarring to a minimum but, depending on the depth of the burns, even the minimum may still be quite noticeable.

What is NORMAL?
60% burns a large burns( I am a doc), but if visible burns are more, it is bound to affect the appearance. Burns along joints affect mobility as a result of scars. So the patient will always have the evidence and memories and effects of burns. What is crucial is how he or she is rehabilitated and that begins at home..
learn to live with the limitations but not by denying the person opportunities and facilities, but by adapting the environment to improve his or her experience.. yes then it can be quite satisfying.

Dear Friend,
First of all 60% burn is really a serious matter to overcome. But I would like to know that in what sense you are asking to bring that person back to normal life?
If it's physically then it can be best answered by the eminent doctors. But nowadays with the help of plastic surgery it is possible mostly provided it's too much of internal.
And if it is to bring her normal mentally then there is an answer for you that it's definitely will be a shock/trauma for that person. But if proper caring and healing is there then its become much easier.
Giving an immense moral support in this phase of his/her life can make him/her normal in taking life much of as before.
Good luck!

Anything is possible with Jesus Christ all things are possible thru Jesus Christ. I would say so with plastic surgerys and the new skin grafts and if there young they heal alot fast and better. I will pray for the girl and hope things work out for the best. With all the new things they have a the burn hospitals I would think so.

yes, but it depends on your perceptions of normal, i assume they accrued severe inhalation burns which is the most deadly and difficult to treat. they will do alot and i mean alot of skin grafts never looking the same but depending on where the majority of the burns are is the way they will come out living, they probably mentally will never be the same or emotionally, and will need alot of support, but otherwise can live a long and healthy life if cared for properly

She will probably never be exactly the same because of what she went through but her mind will be intact and she will have the same personality although she will probably be stronger and be more courageous then ever before.
She may look different but that is not important.

"Normal"? In what way?? She'll always have some scarring. -But other than THAT, she'll eventually be fine. That's a VERY serious burn...- but it doesn't have to be debilitating. Much of how she recovers- is going to depend on her attitude & how she handles it.
