Longhair, have we found an issue we are both on the same side of?
We should go back even further, however. Would we be at war today if the free nations of the world had instigated and patrolled a divided Palestine in 1946? If the British hadn't pulled up stakes and gone home?
I don't know. But, as with Afghanistan, ignoring troubled parts of the world for prolonged periods of time (10 or 20 years) tends to come back and bite us in the tush.
Long live Palestine. And, long live Israel.
(And, while I'm at it, Long Live Kurdistan!)

Before 1967 the United States had little or no political or financial interest in the middle east. As our Capitalist Imperialist agenda has risen, and our ambiguous relationships with Jews and Muslims have increased we have put are nation in harms way of this behaviors consequences.
It has considerably less to do with Israel than oil.

That is totally false. The majority of the Middle East sided with the Nazis in World War II. The radical muslims hated us long before 1967. Are you familiar at all with the Ottoman Empire and who they were fighting in World War I.

We did endure terrorism from muslims prior to Israel being a state. You need to read your history.
In the trubutes we paid to the barbary pirates, we specifically were targeted by terror tactics on the high seas, kidnappings, ransoms, and executions of our citizens, and pressing of able seamen into pirate vessels or slavery. The barbary pirates tageted only chiristain nations with their incursions.
During ww1, and ww2, arabs mostly fought on the side of the axis powers, with Arafat's mentor himself being named an honorary arian by hitler in ww2, and the palestinian leadership facilitated the holocaust throughout occupied arabia in ww2.
It is as much a coincidence as the fact that technology has risen, popluation has risen, wahhabism has risen, sufism islam has been exiled, and arab countries have rapidly exploited their oil reserves whilst keeping their population in poverty.
When the UN begins to follow its own rules, then they can preach to other nations about some bs concept of international law. There is no such thing as internation law, because to create such a body would mean that there is a power, other than God, more soverign than the will of a nation. THe only way to execute your will upon another nation is via war.
I reccomend a good dose of Clausewitz's treatise on war. It is a good read and you should enjoy it, I hope.

America is targeted because of their support of Israel. It has nothing to do with international law, and you're kidding yourself if you think that it does. The whole issue with Israel's existence in the middle east is up for debate. However, what isn't debatable is the fact that whether Israel's existence is legal or illegal, muslim extremists are going to target and kill innocent people. And I believe that the most dangerous thing that any of us can say or do about this issue is to start to think:
"Well...if we just give up and let them have their way, the violence will cease and the world will be a better place because of it."
In those words or others. Please consider the long term ramifications rather than the immediate ones. Please consider the message that this would send to future generations of terrorism.

OK. If you mean 9/11, yes, it's terrorism. You were attacked in your homeland and 3000 innocent Americans were killed. What about U.S terrorism?? USA just send thousands of souls to death with no mercy. Why do you start Aggressions and get angry when you get anything it return. And, you see Iraqis planting mines, launching rockets, even holding machine guns and RBGs and you call them terrorists. Come on.... every one who holds a gun or even say no to you is a terrorist. Just go and take a look at the machine guns which Israelis soldiers carry and the planes they bombard the Palestinians with (made in the USA!!). Let's forget about U.S support of Israel and about Palestine. Just look at the crimes U.S has committed in the Arab world (Iraq, Sudan,......). Not only the Arab World. WW2 when the Japanese killed about 3000 people of you, you just bombarded two major cities, then you know what happened in return of killing 3000 Americans by Japan. Can't you realize that you ruined the destiny of many nations? Why do you get yourself in these troubles?? For what?? Contrast between the number of Arabs you killed and loses from your side. Who set the dictators in the Arab World? Who bombarded Iraq in 1990's? Who killed thousands of innocents in Iraq at least? Who keeps telling lies about WMD's then starts wars?
Many Americans (some of them are friends of mine) who came to the Middle East saw the truth and knew what their country has done here, the majority are just keeping their eyes closed. Then The President of the USA himself declared a war on terror. Is it really on terror? Is deciding to start a war easy to that limit? Why do you start wars, aren't you afraid of the consequences, since wars are scary (kill and get killed??!! Why haven't we heard about something called American terrorism? Stop the American monsters(soldiers) and bring them home, it's enough....
By the way, I don't see much coincidence in this. But I see it clearly in U.S crimes in Iraq, Lybia, Sudan,.......

One has nothing to do with the other. Terrorist attacks began in full bloom when the US put its troops into their cherished land...Saudi Arabia. Infidels cannot set foot on sacred soil. Never take the side of Muslims. You are signing your own death warrant. Israel is the only solid friend we have in the entire middle east. Don't slander them. They fight for the same reason that the USA fights....to stop the terrorists.

usa messed things up in the middle east. they over threw a leader in iran in the 1960s. there is a great book called confessions of an economic hitman. usa tries to get a country to do something, if it doesnt happen...a revolution does. if that doesnt happen a leader died. if that doesnt happen the military moves in.
this process was going to happen with venezuela until 9/11 got in the way. now who's iran making anti-usa deals with???
usa isnt suffering from "muslim" terrorists. they are suffering from terrorists in general..who happen to be muslim.
israel has its own problem in the mideast. the reason why usa is supporting israel is because its an easy foot in the door technique. if someone bombs israel usa drops bombs and takes over oil.

They weren't illegal. They were UN sanctioned. You love the UN, don't you?
And I seem to remember the war of 1967 (okay, reading of it), and seems to me Israel won the right to sovereignty.
Come on, you're going to have to go back earlier than '67 to discover jihad.
