sounds like "everyone" is jealous. It's not dumb, why would it be dumb???? If they mix and socialise in those circles then those are the people they will most likely come into contact with.

To me it seems like the daughters are trying to seek their fathers approvals, or that they look up to their dads so much they are looking to marry a guy just like them.

na ah..not weird...girls especialy while growing wanna idolize someone who has similar attributes to that of their male relative..especially their father..
its like you know them for so long that you finally feel tht they are the best people to hang around with...socially you move in their circles...speak their language..u know..BE aound them
