No because I nave learned that there are good times and bad times in any career field.

It is sorta like the stock market real estate goes up and down, but yet you still see people buying stocks and bonds. You do not see stock brokers jumping ship because of a lull in business.

You have to learn to sell during the hard times and what make a person want to purchase a house from you the individual, or get a loan from you the individual.

The reason being is that the average real estate agent is not prepared. He/she has a real estate license with no marketing skills and no one to train him how to market. The ones that have been around awhile get a part time job and tell the younger ones what marketing plan don't work but have never tried one out in their life for any period of time.

If you market yourself properly, know the area you are working and get to know your clients you will be successful in any real estate market. You must also learn how to network with the correct people and get your message out to the correct people. It might not be as lucrative, but you willbe able to earn a very good living even in a down market.

Real estate agents that jump ship during the bad times are order takers. Unless the market is of such that all they have to do is list a house, place it on the MLS and it sell the next day they can't hack it.

They are part timers that really work at Wal_Mart as assistant managers.

I hope that this has been of some use to you, good luck.

Yes. I'm also in a Network Marketing business. I expect to replace my real estate income within 2 years, working part time. Then I'll probably stop doing real estate altogether.
