I'm a web designer who is getting more and more requests for eCommerce websites and I hate having to outsource.

Can anyone recommend good beginner tutorials and/or books to learn CF? I have knowledge of JavaScript and basic PHP but have not touched CF at all yet.

Any help would be much appreciated.

real_classy_gal,

Try one of Ben Forta's ColdFusion books, such as this one:

Ben's been a ColdFusion author and evangelist for a long time, and I've had good success with his books.

I used the Macromedia "training from the source" series of books for my course and they were very good and very useful. The coldfusion one is very comprehensive.

Since I did my course though, Adobe has bought Macromedia so I do not know if the "training from the source" books are still published.

Hope this helps a little
