I got pregnant the first time I ovulated after my first period off of the pill. Try to relax. Don't get up or pee after sex. Just lie there and try to relax. Find out when you are ovulating. We wanted a boy, so I made sure I had already ovulated when we had sex. I don't know if we just got lucky, but I have a cutie-pie son, just like I wanted.
BTW, tell him not to "handle the situation" ANY on his own. Save up his reserves. lol

After we lost the first one from a miscarriage, we had sex everyday, twice a day because we decided we wanted to have a baby. Lucky for him, lol. I'm not a fan of sex, never have been, but twice a day everyday between periods guaranteed that we wouldn't miss the egg. Oh, and I always laid in a way after sex that would make my lower half of my body higher then my top half for 30 minutes. Don't know if that is what did it, but I heard it worked.

Keep your body healthy and have sex in positions where the sperm can be closest to the cervix - like man on top. This position also increases your chances because sperm is less likely to escape(you want it in there as long as possible). If you have been trying to concieve for 9 months now, you might like to see a doctor (you and your partner) just to make sure evrything is in working order.

Well I was on birth control both times, took it same time every day, never missed a day...anyway the first timeI figure I concived the evening we went out to dinner with his parents, to "celebrate" our engagement...I had a couple of drinks, almost two months later I found out I was pregnant....later that year he and I parted ways...He was abusive, I wound up in hospital and had to make a decision for a late term abortion.
The second time, married 5 years, we started out not using birth control for the first couple of years but we discussed the fact that he was due for an overseas assignment and it would more than likely be unaccompanied and I'd bet left alone for a couple of years to raise an infant. Being no where near any family we decided that avoiding a pregnancy at that time would be best...a year later we were celebrating another couple's anniversary, for some reason my then husband wanted to dance every dance (something NEVER did) and being that I enjoyed dancing I took him up on his offers...I figure I concived that night...and gave up dancing with my husband after that LOL...6 monhts later he got orders to Sicliy unaccompanied for two years...LUCKY us huh? LOL

average is a year and 1/2. You still have 9 months before you need to worry. Worrying is the worst thing for trying to get pregnant.

Have sex when you are exactly in between periods, and when you feel randy. Hope this helps if not I got more advice about conceiving.
