I come from WI and I have worked on three different dairy farms. I really miss the cows.

That's not really dairy country. You've got Brenham to the south (home of Blue Bell ice cream mmmm) and Stephenville to your north about 2 hours (Erath county has over 150 dairies). Windthorst is major dairy but that's even further at just over 200 miles. Waco has a bunch, or they used to, the locals whined to the EPA about them, they may have all relocated by now.

There IS a breeder of red and white Holsteins over in McGregor which I think is about 50 miles from Killeen, they're called Goldfawn Farm. You might give them a holler, they may be able to hook you up with an area dairy.

I live in Montana, so I really can't tell you what's in your area.

Try looking in the local paper, the yellow pages or online for any agriculture/cattle based jobs that may be around you.

If all else fails, contact your local shelters/Humane Society and ask if you can get a list of local farms/sanctuaries that work with cattle. They may be able to help.

~Hope this helps!

2. actually there are purely 2 in my city in any respect. i in my view like getting groceries from walmart, right here this is plenty greater fee-effective. and thank goodness there is yet another food market merely down the line so i will watch their sales and particularly save groceries inexpensive. :) nevertheless i grew to become into no longer inspired with milk expenditures doubling in a single day at our walmart some days in the past. $5 a gallon is a ripoff. fortuitously i understand the place to get it for $a million.ninety 9 a gallon. :) <<

I searched an couldn't find any local dairies. However, if you call feed and livestock supplies, they will be able to tell you if any are near.

Unfortunately you are in the heart of goat country in that area.
