People are getting immensely career conscious day by day and as a consequence of that they are getting more and more unsocial. Most of us don't have that much sufficient time for our family even if we have the desire. what we think now is all about collecting as much money as possible within the short workspan no matter we don't have any means to do that.
Because money is for easy going life to fulfill all our desires.
To make others happy.
But nowadays we can't keep contacts with our relatives even because of our busy schedule. We have to leave our home for better opportunity apart from our parents who make us what we are now. Its true on the contrary that to establish oneself is of utmost importance but should it be at the cost of our life for which we are doing all these?
In the course of maintaining everything are we losing ourselves into the blackhole of loneliness?

Well, One has to have the priorities very clear. What does one want from life. Is it peace, joy and happiness, or is it false pride, showing off, or false satisfaction by having material things only.

Material things are also necessary, so is money, career and success.
But one has to draw a line. Career and success are a means to an end not the end itself. One has to work, aspire, succeed, but not at the cost of family, loss of peace, etc.

i BELIEVE AND FOLLOW.

8 to 6 work, 6 sharp leave for home, spend quality time with family till 10 and then off to bed.

Weekend work is restrained to mail and few calls. Office strict no-no, unless in dire emergency. World goes on and very well at that.

Stress kills, kills early. Live life king size at your terms, oblivious of what others are doing around you. Remove greed, envy, jealousy. Do good to others, God will do the best for you.

take care & God Bless.

No.

If you mean comparing between PAID and VOLUNTARY profession then there is nothing wrong in asking for the price for what you do.

As for relationship, helpfulness is expected but should not be taken as granted even from parents, relatives, or children. One should be self sufficient considering ones life span.

More successful individuals, families, societies, nations etc are those which has better PAID profession than voluntary or social.

Yes you are correct, it has taken precident over human relationships and human kindness or even being "human" period- Doctors only think of patients as Dollar Signs, and don't think they even have to talk to them, just look, prescribe and call in the next and if one demands he listen to them he says "look Ive spent more time then I care to on this issue and I dont feel I should see you again" They get rid of patients who are people, actual personalities involved, because they don't care! They want more patients and can't expand if you take up their time asking about your health! How dare you interfer in their "career quest"? There is no interest in serving humanity-the focus is--What can make the most money the fastest?? This is American Career Orientation= equal-- Life revolving around your career. It is the nucleus of your life.Everything goes to feed and nurture the growth of the career, nothing must detract energy that can be focused on the career. Eat,study, shop for impressive clothing, contact persons who can further your career, sleep,go to work.Career focus numbs us to the reality that life is moving on and people are aging and life cycles are changing and death is approaching for people we need to acknowledge and honor with our love and attention. And if we don't stop this insane mania to over achieve we will stroke out and not enjoy any days in the sun on this earth!

My dear friend let me tell you it is not necessary to jump in the race at the cost of all these things but you have to learn how to maintain a balance between both the things .

No.....you can be career oriented yet can retain all the grace and dignity of human race.It is only the weak and people lacking in self confidence may develop such traits which you have described in your note. You can always segment your various priorities in life and give dignity to each of those functions.

Those seem to be some pretty bourgiosie attitudes, perhaps generalizing them on everyone is not useful or truthful.
