That is not a research that is an arbitrary poll at best.
Egypt is great, its problem is there are too many Egyptians in it.

Hi there, well let me start by saying I have visited Egypt twice and I really enjoyed it. It was my favorite country so far that I have traveled to. I loved the desert and the oasis, the Bedouin people are very welcoming as well as all Egyptian people. I loved Dahab and Sharm el Sheik, Cairo was wild and lively. I do however feel very sad for the animals there, they seem mal nourished and there are so many homeless cats and dogs, the camels work too hard and the donkeys are very sad looking. While driving through Cairo on the way to the train station I saw a dead horse floating down the Nile, I was very sad to see this. I think Egypt is a very interesting country and I have learned alot just from visiting, my father is friends with Salima Ikram which is a famous egyptologist and we also got to see the royal mummy room at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, it was just as my father showed me in the books when I was a child. I could go on forever about Egypt, I actually ended up meeting a guy here in the US that is Egyptian and then married him as well. Egypt is wonderful all together!!

I have been to Egypt two times. I really love it despite all its problems (economy, pollution, overcrowded, crazy driving, etc.). There is just something about it that captivates you. I have no interest in ancient Egypt or tourist sites and though I have been twice I have yet to visit pyramids and such because there are too many tourists. I just love the way of life in Egypt. The people are so wonderful and really make you feel welcome. I like that all the shops stay open so late and there is always something to do no matter what time of day it is. My dream is to move there. I like the closeness of the families and how if you become friends with an Egyptian you are treated like a member of the family too. I also really love Egyptian movies and music.

My Opinion or my Impression of Egypt. This is a poorly defined question. what do you really want.
My opinion as a tourist/visitor, who for the first time in his life comes across mythological and legendary construction and culture, I would be thrilled.
My opinion as somebody who only reads about it-depends on what I read, History or news papers- would range from positive to negative responses.
My opinion as an Egyptian, depending on a number of socio/political/economic parameters, would also range from the positive to the negative. (as would for any country).
My opinion as somebody who has spent 17 years in the area is mixed. Alexandria, Damieta, the Delta, Al Cahira, the Nile, the Pyramids all the way south to Nubia, what can I say it is awesome. But I can no forget the over two million people in the necropolis of Cairo that live literally in tombs. Being originally from the eastern Mediterranean I have absolutely no problem with the customs morality and way of life. But two things jar. One is the extent of poverty and the other-and this is a very personal feeling-is there is too much religion for my taste.

hi...
i have been in egypt in 2003 and I really liked it , and I think to go back soon inshallah.
Is a country with great diversity in almost all the things.
The people is very nice and kind. The food......as all Middle eastern kitchen...........is tasty. The history is amazing, the monuments are wonderful and the National Museum is very , very interesting. It should be greater if all the countries that stolen their patrimony...........give them back to Egypt, that way, that treasures could be shown where they really belongs to.
I have not words to describe Luxor....and as luxurios and beautiful..Sharm el Sheikh.
Cairo is a poluted city, and traffic is crazy. No one respect the rules, and the claxons seem to become one crazy.
But..........what is that among all the other beauties of that land????
To say it in a short way... EGYPT IS BEAUTIFUL
salam

hi
i'm a Moroccan girl, have never traveled to Egypte, but i know much about your country and your poeple..
I love your country a lot, and egyptian poeple are easy going, nice, and funny, i enjoy talking with them
let's talk first about the country:
I'm a travel agent, and i will give you the summary of my clients remarks about them trips to Egypte:
first of all, they find the country amaizing, they love the culture, the momuments, khan el khalili and the old neighberhoods of Cairo, they like sharm so much
However, they don't like the accomodation in Cairo, comparing to the european hotels, and also some arabic ones, they don't find a 4* hotel in cairo like a real 4* they are used to book, that's one remark
they don't appreciate also the transportation services in Cairo, it's so full of poeple, and they say that there is a lot of air pollution over there..
May be if the tourism ministery will try to review the starndars of hotels it would be better
but in general all poeple who went to Egypte were satisfied..and they said that poeple are so helpful and nice..
talking about egyptian poeple, i have many friends from Egypte, net friends honestly, but they are lovely poeple, helpful, polite, and funny, i really enjoy talking with them, but we always fight when we talk about football, lol
here in Morocco and the maghreb countries, many poeple say that egyptian poeple are over proud, because they always see them selfs better then the other arab poeple, throught what they say sometimes in the movies...but it's not my opinion, i know them well, i deal with egyptian poeple at work, and i have wonderful egyptian friends that i really respect and love...
i said all that(even the bad things) because you said that you have a research, don't take me wrong, i really love your country, but in every country there is bad and good, and if we want to reduce this bad side, we have to face it not to hide it! then we can find solutions for all our problems!

as-salam alaykum,
I have never met an Egyptian, that I do not call 'friend'.
In 2006, a group of volunteers from Habitat for Humanity began building homes for poor Egyptian families. Our plan is to complete over 500 homes, in the next three years, in villages throughout Egypt.
