Do you prefer verbal or written communication?

I love to talk - in fact, some might say I talk a lot. I enjoy engaging myself in intelligent (and sometimes not-so-intelligent) conversation, but I'd have to say that I prefer written communication over verbal. I have a lot of friends who have gone to college, and instead of phoning each other we e-mail - I find that to be more relaxing, as I have time to think about what I want to say and how I want to say it.

Depends on the situation. If I want to size someone up to gain insight that might not be revealed in written communication (i.e. to gauge their body language and/or tone of voice) than I prefer verbal vs. written. However, if I feel no need to look beyond their words, I prefer written for just the reasons you mentioned. Simply put, written communication gives you more control over what you want to reveal.

I prefer verbal communication. Talking is what I'm good at and is much more easier to express myself. Writing, typing... too tiring. I don't even know how to spell the slang words I use when I'm talking to my friends. And I think A LOT when I write or type. I don't think TOO much when I just blabber the words outta my mouth.

I prefer written for the same reasons you do. When typing an e-mail, I usually change some of its content 3 or 4 times before I send it.

I prefer face to face verbal communication. While emial give you a chance to think about what you are going to say, reading body signs and listening to the tone of their voice gives you better insight into the emotions behind the words. Besides, I tend to run on when I type.

Verbal because my friends and I always tell stories and it's so much more entertaining person to person than through texts or e-mails.

But I like texting/e-mailing people I don't see everyday. It's kinda fun. Plus, I like the noise my cell phone makes when I get a text.

i like verbal communication. written communication is a lot more difficult to understand because you don't always know what the person feels and/or means by what they write. you can tell a lot from a persons tone. written communication also takes longer and doesn't feel as personal

i guess verbal comunication is the best 4 me coz sometime i can't Express my feelings kind a bing shy or sum1 making me nervous so writing will give you the Opportunity to write down what you know and what you want to say, so writng is the best 4 me :)
