I have never, How can someone just stick themselves with a needle?

Never done it, but when I was in the hospital I did get a morphine drip once. It was horrible. They took me off halderon and gave the morphine because it was stronger. It sure was, through me for a loop everytime! I didn't like having no control over my own body. I could feel the warmth creeping up my veins and going through my entire body. Then I would get really sleepy and just be stuck- like half sleep/half woke. It was so scary I told them to put me back on the halderon. It didn't take away all of the pain, but at least feeling a little pain made me feel human again. I know that's a feeling (the morphine) I never want to experience again.

I have never done it. I've watched friends fall apart over it. They stick themselves with a needle easily, if it means being numb to the world for a little bit.

I don't understd it either. How someone can tie off their own arm and wacth as they use a needle to inject heroin directly into a vein. Creeps me out

It's just part of their progression to the next level. They need the instant gratification that only a needle can give them.

I've never done it. Used to have friends that did, and to the best of my knowledge they still do, a few have O.D. from it, had to get away from that circle.
But needles...ehh I have no problem with 'em. I've got multiple piercnigs and tatoos, and give blood...they don't scare me.
But seein life long junkies does, and that's what kept me away from hardcore drugs.

Yes. Most people don't start by "shooting up" but, instead, snort it up their nose or smoke it (on aluminum foil with a lighter to melt it down and a straw to inahle it). People inject it for the "rush," as it gets into your system quickest that way and the "high" is more intense.

my ex-gf's mother was a heroin addict and she used to shoot up with the same needle as other peeps needless to say that is what ultimately led to her death

When I was in Prison in Oklahoma a Black guy shoot up heroin .He fell over dead .Instant lethal overdose.Any more questions

i don't know the needle part scares me. . .my friends cousin does it everyday its an addiction & shes tried to come clean but hasn't been able to
