Most people don't believe their rights have been eroded by the current administration because they don't want to see, be involved, or believe in the crisis our nation is in. Our President, contrary to laws set forth by our founding fathers has suspended Habeas Corpus to certain individuals denying them due process under the law. Humans beings are being wire tapped, spied upon, and locked away in secret prisons. After 200 years, Bush has implied that our Constitution is outdated and implemented imprisonment without charge and torture within reason. Yes, society is willing to give up rights because we have been so carefully sheltered from the the reality of death, mutilation, suffering , and carnage that it presents no threat to our everyday lives. I would say that our current priority is not our precious Constitution but "what size plasma TV is best for the living room"

Because so many people believe that if we "trade in" enough of them, that qualifies us for "government protection money".

Most people will deny that their rights have been taking away; while challenging others to explain which rights have been stolen.

But so many of them are so blind to the inherent dangers of letting their government have too much power--they believe it to be a normal function of this failed democracy.
