This is not homework, I just like the title and wonder what the book is about, just a bare bones summary. If I like the premise, I'll buy the book next week when I get paid.

I don't use libraries if I can buy the book. Never.

I listened to this book while driving. Its really good. Like Chole already said its about this family that has a second child so that she can keep her sister alive. Its about the second child's life. I really recommend it.

An exceptionally good read. The basic gist of the book is about a family with two daughters: one diagnosed with a serious form of leukemia and the other produced as a perfect genetic match to her sister soley to replace any failing organs of her sibling. The family is faced with many difficult choices as the "extra" daughter begins to feel the pressures and obligations of being her sister's keeper. Since birth Anna has always been there for her sister whether it be to donate blood platelets or bone marrow and now she's tired of it all. However, outer parties make her feel guilty for wanting to stop providing for her older sibling.

I hope that was alright. It's been awhile since I've read it, but I definitely recommend it!

A family has a second child so that the first child can get bone marrow (or something) from the second one. All of her books are good. I haven't read sister's keeper yet, just the jacket. I just finished 19 minutes. Very good. Go to her website and it will tell you about her books.

The protagonist of the book is a young girl who was conceived by her parents for the sole purpose to provide her own biological bone marrow to prolong the life of her older terminally ill sister.
Every medical procedure (according to the novel) is extremely painful for both girls but the mother is obsessed
and allows no one, doctors, husband, daughters, gainsay her.
I'd recommend you to borrow the book from your library first and you can always buy it later if you like it.
I did not think it was great literature, just a harrowing story.

Parents have daughter. Daughter has genetic disease. Parents have another daughter specifically so the second daughter can donate bone marrow to keep the first daughter alive. Second daughter gets sick of this and rebels, even though without the bone marrow her sister will die.

A young girl takes her parents to court to get them to stop doing medical procedures on to to save the life of her sister. I can't do it justice. It is my favourite book. Definitely worth a read.
