There's nothing wrong with being gay. It's a little tough sometimes because of society and sterotypes (I know first hand), but it's really not as bad as everyone would have you believe. Why christians hate gays is beyond me, preaching love and acceptance on Sundays and gay bashing the rest of the week makes no sense in my world. To the best of my knowledge (and I'm no biblical scholar, so forgive me if I'm a little off), the references in the bible to homosexuality being a sin is located in the old testament with the rest of the out dated laws we no longer follow- like not eating pork, etc. Love is love, and all you can do is follow your heart. Good luck, and don't let society get you down.

Yes, I think it is wrong being gay. It leads nowhere as a lifestyle. The way gays try to imitate the hetero lifestyle and at the same time defy it is conflicting and that can't be good either. Claiming to be gay if you are male and trying to imitate being a biological girl or being a girl trying to pretend she's a biological boy is as screwed-up a lifestyle as it gets.
But - I have to admit that you can pretend that being gay will not have a serious impact on your life; it's not unlike any other kind of delusion in relationships and life. It's like pretending to be a teenager all your life. Hetero people who still are stoners and jobless when they are in their 50s are living in a kind of dream world too. It's hard to realize that what you have decided to indulge in is costing you years of productive time with a family, building a future that is a real future, not 'future' that spans a couple of months until you next hook up.
People don't realize they will get old and suddenly they are. Still cruising gay bars with a series of hook ups behind them and if they are very luck, some ahead too. It's an extremely frivolous lifestyle, very narcissistic.
Even the desire to be someone else's 'husband' if you are a guy is a pretense that apes hetero life.
Why anyone hates gay people is anybody's guess - could be that when you offer friendship to someone of the same gender, you are disgusted when they reveal what they really want is access to your butt! Kind of destroys that old wholesome friendship thing real fast.
If it really bothers you, see a therapist. But I guess you know that. And if your best friend is grossed out and saddened by your 'falling in love' (friendship is love by the way, sex is exactly sex...), don't be surprised at that reaction.

Well,I'm a Roman Catholic & I don't go by everything the Bible says.To me,I was brought up on "Love thy neighbor" and other positive sayings & so.I don't hate gay people(heck,I have a few friends that are gay)in fact-my theory is-If you love that person then it doesn't matter, does it? If he feels the same way about you, then it could be a great match. So,good luck on achieving what your heart is after.

Because in the Bible God made Adam,a boy,and Eve,a girl.He made them like this so it would forever be a man/woman commitment.I personally believe that being gay is wrong.Although,no one should be punished for feeling they can't control!

i am christian and i don't hate gay people. so please dont' generalize. i honestly believe some people are born 'gay', being born gay is something you can not help.
all i ask of you or anyone, gay or not, man or woman, white or black, christian or muslim, is:
you live your life and i live mine.
keep your pda's down to a minimum and so will i.
what goes on in your home and what goes on in my home is our own business.
its that simple.
i don't like 'gays' who are in my face with their sexuality.
i don't like 'gays' who act so obscenely and ignorantly during gay pride parades, or celebrations.
i judge people on a one on one basis. i respect everyone until they show me they do not deserve my respect.
if you want to approach your friend then do so, but i fail to see what that has to do with your accusation of christians hating gays. i think you made the comment solely to incite folks.
and by the way, way back when, the word 'gay' was a charming word used to describe a happy person, situation, or time. who gave y'all the right to kidnap such a nice word and use it to describe a bunch of bitchy men?

Simply put... no! Being gay, or a homosexual is not wrong! Why because God commanded: "Love one another as I have loved you." Which, I at least, take to mean that as long as we care for our fellow man, God will and does love us. One's sexual orientation is part of their individual make up, which, in part, is God's gift to humanity.
