My boyfriend never really hangs out with his friends. However, when we are mad he takes advantage and goes off and gets really drunk at a bar with his friends. His so called friends are not even good people to hang around with. He then spends a lot of money and ends up broke. What should I do to make him stop! I don’t drink nor go to bars I am a good Christian. It’s not right I don’t deserve this. We have been dating for 7 years I want to make it work, because he is not like this everyday. I dont want to be like him and we have talked about this several times. He say's he is going to stop and does it again in a few months.

7 years? Wow, that's a long time. Have you two discussed marriage? Sounds like he has a binge drinking problem and needs to make an excuse by arguing with you to go out and drink his money away... Sorry to ask, but are you sure that's all he spends his money on? Umm, he could also be buying drugs and/or sex too.

I can empathise with you in ways about this one. I was never the type to go out with the girls on nights out and I didn't like it when my ex - partner insisted he went out. We argued and it made him want to do it more. Instead of him storming out of the house when you row, why don't you say to him can we talk about this properly, even over a nice meal.
Something i am going to say though is that you say that you want ot make this work, but it needs to be mutual. You need to ask him straight whether or not he too wants this to be for life?
