i just received a letter today from the fsb that after 21 years they are closing my case...(all because i turned in some documents 3 weeks later than they wanted them...He still owes over 80K in back child support...He now lives in Alabama... I was told by the FSB that they were transferring my case to Alabama last April and just found out that they didnt... I called FSB..they wont talk with me..cause thay said my case is closed...Alabama says they wont take the case unless San jose transferred it cause im the cust. parent and not in that state...my state wont take it cause he doesnt live here.. I cant afford an atty...now what do i do???? He is a deadbeat and always has been...but it is the principal of it all...I dont feel he should just be able to walk...if he had done his obligation to his kids in the first place...he would not be in this prediciment...what do i do now...???

I am not an expert, but I was told they are a non-profit group(so it would save you the expense of an attorney)
I don't know if this will help or not . Is there not a way to file an appeal w/the fsb to reinstate your case? It may take longer, but if he's already 80K behind, I don't think time is that big of an issue.

definitely San Jose. I unquestionably have lived close to there for 2 many years. i in my view do in comparison to San Jose. Too many shady looking people, yet i can guaranttee that the crime is lots worse in Austin. in case you do a sprint prognosis, you will locate a housing song or community that's removed from the shady neighborhoods. stay as some distance west and south as achieveable. The eastside is the worst. North is downtown. yet i like what Phil G stated. we've a lot to grant. you ought to be here for 3 months and nevertheless not see all the places we've:Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Napa Valley, Mt. Hamilton, Gilroy Garlic competition.........

Find out if the District Attorney can have his *** pitted up and placed in jail or take money from his tax returns and take it out of his pay checks or have his drivers license suspended.
Call Support Kids and ask for help, a long with your DA Office. Don't let his *** get off, you have work to hard to provide for you and your kids and that bastard should get what he deserves.
Check out womens advocacy groups in Oakland and San Francisco, they may be able to offer you low-cost or free help. It what rightful yours for your kids!!!

look up pre -paid legal on the internet. It will cost you less than 50.00 . when you join, you can ask for a child support attorney.....they will answer any question you have about your case. These are some top laywers ( Stanbury) i've used them with my child support case, I know many people who have used them . They have an attorney for any purpose.
If you wish to retain them they will offer their services at a discounted price. but to ask questions is free. ( once you join).
it may be only $ 27.00 not sure.

Why worry about it? 33yrs old and my father still pays 25.00 a MONTH child support for my sister and I to catch up, my mom...she spends it on her grand kids now. My mom dropped over 60k in back support (as long as he promised to pay from that point on, yeah right!!) because it was more of a hassle...We know who took care of us, who was there for us and we would do anything in the world for her, she is worshiped as she should be :) My father on the other hand, I talk to him maybe 2X's a year if that. I have a mom that loved me, cared for me, taught me right from wrong, installed values-morals and ethics in me that I needed. My father is nothing to me, what would all that money do?? It would not bring back the years you may have struggled to raise the kids, it won't bring back the fact that their father is the way he is and has not changed and that is who they get to call their dad. Money does not make you happy....paybacks do, but paybacks also stress you out and make you old and miserable, just let it go..be happy, enjoy your kids and one day grand kids...because their father never will, make that payback enough.

You need to get written documentation from AL stating the case is not there and that it needs to be trrans. THEN...you need to go to some really high up authority re this matter. Even if you have to go all the way up there and not leave until you are happy!!!
