i am 24 very good looking boy & i am looking for a beautiful & homely girl even for a zero dowry as myself is self sufficient & self reliant & independent guy

i am asking this as i have seen girls misusing their rights & i am from a upper middle class family & my family is very simple & achhhe log. i dont want to put them in trouble, if i make a wrong decision in life. i am very strong fellow & i can manage her well, if i am alone, but thinking about my old parents, i get worried as to whether i should marry or not.

i dont think negative, but i am asking this as i believe in.......... PREPARE FOR THE WORST, BUT HOPE FOR THE BEST

very nice and good question.
Do one thing that u select a girl and please dont get marry immediately come what may the pressures be.
Just be with her and know her from her heart. See most of marriage in India suffers because if Boy sees a girl , if she is beautiful and earning he tries to get marry soon and after marriage they both people try to know each other and convince each other what they like or dont like.
But these activities should be done before they get marry since if they are little arguments or things they dont like distance becomes very large.
See there is no need of writing if u have too much closeness.

Why are u scared of the dowry law when u r not planning to take it. I don't think any girl, u marry without taking dowry will harass u or ur family for this reason. And moreover every boy thinks his parents are very good and will treat his wife nicely but frankly speaking every mother of the boy thinks his son will be taken away by his wife and then they start harassing their daughter in law in absence of their son and so the son never belives his wife as he thinks his parents are too good.
When u r married, don't fear for any laws but see to it that nor ur wife is harrased neither ur parents. U will have to maintain such a relation in between these two that they should think u r on their side. Just be matured enough to handle any situation instead of blaming any one. Think ten times before u take any decision.

U r confused a lot. All girls r not so. Most of them r simple ones. It takes a lot of courage & training for a girl to be so what u r thinking about misuse of anti-dowry law. No self respecting girl wants to go through highly traumatic experience of going to the court to invite insult & adverse publicity on false grounds of dowry. If u get engaged to a really good girl of your choice , u should not worry at all. Court procedures helps only lawyers. This is known to all. In case of any unforeseen dispute , an out of court settlement through reliable social workers or clerics is the best, practically. Rules r to be written in books. Only few preys r caught by lawyers. This is practical reality. Don't have false apprehensions. After all, girls too r human beings like u.
