My son, who is 8, has never watched any of these shows other than a few episodes of Spongebob. He does love The Magic School Bus and Avatar. I guess he may not be old enough to watch the other "young teen shows" or that even if we would allow him to do so.
We do watch the Food Network allot and he simply loves to watch the show Unwrapped! We love it too since it goes behind the scenes of how food is prepared and how candy is manufactured and a host of other areas of the food industry.

My daughter is so into Spongebob, it's ridiculous. But I don't think any of them compare to the shows that I watched as a child.
