On my way home from work this morning, there was a terrible car accident on the highway, and i noticed that some people were getting out of their cars, not to help but to just watch it all. Is it some sick morbid desire to watch the life of another to be taking, or is there something more to it, that i am not seeing?

They are stupid. If you cannot help you should get out of the way. I drive quite a bit and I always offer help but not if it is adding danger to the situation. The police don't want you there and it stalls traffic. The shock of seeing somebody getting killed can impact your driving performance.

Honestly...I think it's because folks feel useless but secretly desire to help in some way....the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak....it's like a "mother hen" guarding her chicks....they are standing guard without even knowing they're doing it

Today I read about a man who commited suicide in a chatrrom on web cam by hanging himself...not only did ppl watch they encouraged him to do it....I wonder if ppl have become insensed by television or if they really are just that ignorant.

*** i don't get it. i think i'd woof my cookies if i looked, but besides that i think it's incredibly rude so i refuse to look. i mean, if it were me i wouldn't want a bunch of people gawkin at me, so why would i do that to them?
