Robby, it is wrong for anyone to deny who they really are and what they believe in and stand for. As in anything else in life, we cannot help who we are ---we need to find self confidence, respect for ourselves, dignity, and courtesy. We need to be accepted and remember our individuality. We have to be true to ourselves first---then assimilate out into the world---everyone has stuff to offer in their own way. So being gay doesn't mean very much in the big picture. What is really improper is for anyone to impose a feeling of superiority or to make someone feel less a person because of who they are. No one is any better than anyone else.If you are gay, be strong and proud. If you know a gay, it should not matter...it is none of your business. Be nice and good luck

From a purely scientific viewpoint. Homosexuality if taken to
the extreme and taking into consideration the lack of reliable
cloning technology. Homosexuality would result in the complete Extinction of the Human Race within One Generation. this is from the viewpoint that Homosexuality taken to the extreme would mean that there is no heterosexual contact in any population on earth.
Basing a viewpoint on this purely Biological example would result in the answer that Homosexuality should be outlawed to preserve the existence of the human race.
But also there is the argument that homosexuality is genetic and not a choice. based on this within a few generations all
Homosexuality would be eradicated based on the fact that Females cannot mate with Females and males can not Mate with male. Therefore if homosexuality is genetic it will be removed from the gene pool by the Carriers of the Genes thereof.
so from a Scientific Viewpoint Homosexuality is Dangerous to the Human Race. and therefore wrong. though if it is genetic we don't have to worry since those who carry the Gene(s) and display the behaviour should die out within Ten Generations Max, as a result of the isolation of their Genes from the Genepool. Bisexuality
will be harder to kick though.

Only some Christians hate gay people. I don't and I'm Christian. I just don't agree with what they're doing because the bible says that it is a sin. I just try and follow what the bible says. But I make a lot of mistakes in my life too. Nobody is perfect but you can always try following Christ and going to Church and see how you feel

From a Christian perspective?
Read Romans chapt 1 verses 26-28, (the new Testament, the Bible) Seems pretty clear.
Hate? I don't know about hate. Do you hate someone because they are hurting themselves?
I read a book written by a doctor in San Francisco during the AIDS epidemic, she asked a question with a startling answer.
Average age of death of a homosexual male that dies of AIDS (39 years old)
Average age of death of a homosexual male that does not die of AIDS (41 years old)
As the average age at death for males was in their 60's at the time of the books printing, her conclusion was that homosexuality was an unhealthy lifestyle

it is a personal choice. some will say yes some will say no...
if it is wrong then tell me who does a hermaphrodite date? male? female?
each and every person has freewill do choose the path that s/he wants to follow be it religious/sexual orientation what ever it is the individual's right to choose what they wand and feel how they feel
oh and Laurence please elaborate more on your choice of the definition---4.not proper or usual; not in accordance with requirements or recommended practice: the wrong way to hold a golf club. you used a portion of the definition to validate your claim that a lifestyle choice is wrong. you did this by reading into the definition, which is what a lot of people do when reading the bible or other religious texts. this bible we speak of tells us to love thy neighbor...it doesn't say love thy neighbor with the exceptions to non christians, gays, etc.
i love going to the "gay" bar and so do a lot of other straight people i know. it is more fun. in fact my husband and i go together most times when we do go.

No, don't listen to what others say about it being a sin, I'm Christin and i believe that if your gay it should be our job to accept you and and not get caught up in what the bible says. Just remember to be yourself, be the best that you can be, and just remember that not everyone hates people who are gay, to tell you the truth i think people who are gay are sometimes better cuz the are upfront with their friends and they are a hell of a lot of fun!

You can' t help who you fall in love with. When it comes to matters of the heart no one can tell you what right or wrong. I'm not a religious person but you have to think that Jesus didn't disciminate against anyone so who has the rigth to discriminate against you.Jesus wanted his people to be happy so if this makes you happy then whats wrong with it.

Various societies throughout history have had different
levels of acceptance of homosexuals...
Varying from complete acceptance to outright rejection..
It has only been in the past 10 yrs. that we have actually
scientifically known that Homosexuality, for the most part
is an anomaly / birth defect....No more a personal choice
than Heterosexuality...Except in the case of "Bi" women
which is a cultural phenomenon.
Of course anti-gays do not want to accept that it is a birth
defect because they want it to be a matter of personal choice
so they can condemn them as perverts and Gays do not want
to admit it is a birth defect because the don't want to be thought of as "defective"...So very few accept it, for biased personal reasons, and the animosity continues within our society.
Sheeeeesh, get over it, A tempest in a teapot is what it is...

Dear Robby..
No... It is not. I have friends and family that are gay, and they are accepted and loved. I was raised Catholic, Greek orthodox and Methodist, and religion should be loving not rejecting. It is funny how easy it is to condemn someone for loving . Just because someone loves another in another religion, color, sexual choice, why should we care? We should care if they hate or kill someone because of this......Just my opinion...
