is where I went to buy mine for a Gateway Solo. I got a great price with a warranty. They said the battery would be better than the one gateway provided and they were right. It's one year old now and still gives me an extra hour of work time over the original.
Most of the batteries I found on ebay were only garranteed to take a charge and had no or very little real warranty. and if you have an older laptop and the battery is listed as original even if it is still packaged it is not much older than the laptop itself. And batteries only have a couple of years shelf life before they start having problems.
I would use batteryrefill again with no hesitation.

Do a yahoo search on laptop batteries. Lot's of sites come up. Comparison shop. You'll need your Gateway model number to find the right battery.

Yes. Try to search online, there could be some replacement batterries that are compatible with your laptop, just like printer ink. Before you can only buy ink from the original supplier, but now you can buy in generics but equally competitive.

Try radio Shack, or The Source, they have refurbished batteries for most laptops and are better than original batteries in most cases and much cheaper also.

I purchased my replacement on ebay at a very reasonable price. I would check there first. You will probably save about 30%. Hope this helps.

Try Bestbuy and if they don't have the replacement battery you are seeking search the same battery type online.
