Me and my roomie are having a fight, and I need to know which one of us is right.

Ok, the word "Equilibrium" ... Is it pronounced "Equal-ib-ree-um", or "Eck-will-ib-ree-um"?

Both ways are in fact correct. You can use either or.

"Equal ib ree um" since it is describing a state of equality/balance.

It's 'eck-will-Ib-ree-um', with the accent on 'ib'.

I've heard of this one, we studied this in chemistry class.
Everyone pronounced it Equal-ib-ree-um

It is pro-nounced "equil lib' re am" I looked it up in the dictionary. Now, you two kids have to quit fighting and get a dictionary.
